Cantare! has openings for the following positions for our 2025 holiday season:

Soprano

Tenor

Bass

Qualifications:
Most of our members have a Bachelors Degree in Music or equivalent experience.
Skills required:
Singing 1 or 2 people on a part for 4, 6, and 8 part polyphony in various languages (Modern English, Old English, French, German, Italian, Latin). Ability to confidently sight-sing is highly desirable. Our repertoire is primarily Early Music/Renaissance with a couple 19th and 20th Century sacred pieces.

Rehearsal commitment:

This is a basic outline of a likely rehearsal season. Exact dates and times TBD.
Regular rehearsals are held at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Omaha, NE.

October: one weekend rehearsal (2 hours)
November: one weekend rehearsal per week (2 hours each)
One ‘intensive’ rehearsal week with 3 evening rehearsals before December holiday concert season begins.
December: three public concerts and three outreach volunteer concerts in various assisted living facilities.

12 Night at the Castle Production Week: December 28 - January 3
12th Night at the Castle 2026: Friday, January 2nd / Saturday, January 3rd / Friday, January 9th

Rehearsals and public concerts are paid. Outreach concerts are volunteer.
